Can people please refrain from making FL a subject of taboo?
As Vauld stated, LimeLight is definitely in decline, mostly reasoned the decreased amounts of fundamental qualities that has always been associated with semi-serious RP, such as the silly fuckaround playstyle, community get-togethers and so on. LimeLight is just falling apart as a community, and there's nothing to do about this, unless the administrative/developing team starts to change the conditions and gaming environment on the server.
I hope that we one day will be able to experience the proper definition of semi-serious RP again, because at the moment, it just feels dead.
Well yesterday late night / evening it had 57players max on. But it lagged so much for me. Optimization would bring (maybe) more players?
EDIT: Solution: Mass unban everyone Kappa
Results are showing that the server are infact on a steady incline now. Within upcoming content plans, this should bring some new attractions to CityRP2

I think part of the reason to this is that there has been a lot more activity in the changelog in the way that there are now being small bug fixes being done to help improve the gamemode, and also remove the annoying little things that stop people from playing because they are only ever really looked at rather than have anything done about them.
I don't think this will last as long as the community would like. But as previously mentioned, I feel as though gamemode optimizations would be something the developers should focus on because for people with lesser computers that want to play LL, they can't because of the excessive lag.

We have a lot of things being worked on so while the small updates might slow down, they'll be outweighed by the big updates to follow.
A better map would help stabilization. At the moment, any population over 30 makes the FPS extremely low and not playable, at least within comfortable bounds.
Other RP servers has implemented some sort of map optimization that apprently increases FPS by a huge margin.
I think the developers should have some time to find the major reasons for lag, and attempt to remove the lag.
As far as I am aware vehicle are a big cause for lag, especially when you combine VCMod and Photon.
Also, instead on trying to go big, a few new commands or features instead of something huge sometimes helps more. Commands like /roll has allowed roleplay to evolve and honestly we should expand on that more.
Also I believe the server should see an slight increase in players solely on the ~400 updates from Dr. Internet that make the gamemode ever so slightly more enjoyable, as you don't have to work your way around bugs.
Tbh, I can't wait for Rockford as it is wayyy better optimised than Evocity and is fun to drive around with such a huge road network for the size that it is.
And well those big updates up coming with those small ones by (Thanks) should bring back some older players and well hopefully attract newer players as well.
There is only one thing we can do, wait until the summer holidays when players are more active.
I stopped playing mostly because of having the same map. When you've played thousands of hours on the same map it gets dull eventually, and the lack of updates. The last update was (no offense to the developers) basically a re-skin of the Q menu and a workshop addon. I think a weekly map rotation would be great but probably won't happen because people are so accustomed to evocity.
main problem is lag and players not being used to the gamemode with the 1 million commands and having to learn it.
I come on once every few weeks, mainly for the literal point that I've lost interest. Sadly all of the things that did interest me, no longer does. CityRP aid indeed on a decline, and whilst fearless has a better player base and has had a 'boom', statistics of the recent years that Garry's Mod is declining. It's just not fun to play CityRP anymore, as fun as it used to be.
we hit 60/68 players a few days ago. Not bad at all.

That's because a troll streamer invited his whole twitch chat to join him
