If turning off Adblock Plus did the trick for you and you'd still like to use an adblocker, I find uBlock Origin is a much more lightweight adblocker.
You can find it
here.
I also wouldn't recommend using that "Advanced SystemCare" stuff at all. It's got dodgy roots, and I wouldn't trust it at all.

Alright, thanks. I'll just use that instead.
Yeah, I've never heard of it so I think I'll just get CC Cleaner instead.
It's started up again - want me to post my laptop specs?

How would I go about finding them? I did it the other day, but I've forgotten how to now lol.

I personally use speecy to get my system details, it is easy and also provides temps
Did you install a new adblock?

Yeah, but I got rid of it when the disk went up. And it still goes up quite often, but not as much as it did before.
Do you know any other ways on how I can fix it?
Do you have any more ideas?
How old is your installation of Windows, out of curiosity?
Windows can get pretty bad if kept going for too long so it might be best to consider reinstalling. If it hasn't been too long though, I'd recommend running a scan with Malwarebytes to see if it picks up anything.

Well, I had 8.1 up until 2016 when I got 10 and then I went back to 8.1, so I've had this one for about 8 months.
Alright, I'll try that, hopefully it picks up something.

Yeah, but it doesn't seem to affect my laptop as much as it used to. However, it is still on 100% disk.
How old is your hardware?
You may also want to consider reinstalling if your Windows install is that old.
