It is a hoax, the channel was hacked by an alien cult at 5:10 PM on 26 November 1977. At the time you could easily hijack broadcasts by going to the station and be next to the TV transmitter because at the time signals broadcast on TV transmitters were fed to the transmitter by landlines and the transmitter of the hoax was a rare transmitter that received its signal in the form of UHF radio waves so therefore it was easier to hijack live broadcasts and create this alien broadcast.
