Currently within TrueNorth, the coverage of emergency healthcare is severely spotty and inconsistent. Furthermore, the overall quality of these services, whether it is public relations and/or emergency medical practices, has been rapidly declining.
We all know that the citizens of TrueNorth have a very busy and tight schedule. This also includes the first the responders that normally take shifts during working hours. Due to personal schedules filling up, more and more first responders are not taking shifts, and this leaves the city vulnerable during times of need. To solve this issue, the Marion Volunteer Ambulance Services was established.
The volunteer service allows for much more flexibility within the average citizen's busy lifestyle. Whenever the MVAS service is active, there will always be at least one person staffed at the station at all times. This is very flexible and can be scheduled around anyone's busy lifestyle. Volunteers are what makes up the rest of this fantastic service. Volunteers are notified of emergency alarms via the on shift Paramedic. Upon the receipt of an alarm, volunteers, if available at that moment, can respond to the scene of the alarm to assist with the medical emergency that we have been notified about. Volunteers also have an option to equip an amber lightbar on their vehicles. This light may only be used in the operation of volunteer ambulance activities and requests the right of way to drivers on the road. This means that these amber lights are courtesy lights. Drivers are not obligated by law to pull over for these lights (unless indicated by Presidential law).

Company Update
11/12/2018
The Rockford Volunteer Ambulance Service has again revised its SOP's to keep up with current day standards and operations. All members are highly encouraged to read the company SOP's.
A company roster has been released and displays the companies current members and their standings. This can be found in the main thread.
We have finally been granted access to medical kits for our responding volunteers. Volunteers can now request an Emergency Services Pass that will equip them with medical kits. This now allows us to provide a higher standard of medical care to patients in need.
