Rainmeter is a nice little program you can use to customise the desktop and overall appearance of your PC. I'm looking into getting the program later tonight, so I'm wondering what skins the community uses if any and more importantly, what you would reccomend?

Please feel free to leave your opinions.

I'm lazy and just bought Wallpaper Engine.

Rainmaker is quite a confusing program in my opinion, but I've tried it and it works surprisingly well and looks good.

I'll take a look at Wallpaper Engine too. I've heard good things.

Didnt see the point of a weird desktop that doesnt make sense so got some very simple clocks and a calender

I could watch it all day.

I use Rainmeter as a system monitor.

At any time on the right side of my second monitor (on my right), I have the current date and time, CPU and GPU temps and usage. If I don't have a window covering up the rest, I can also see how much space is left on my drives, RAM and SWAP usage, a breakdown of CPU usage, core by core; a breakdown of GPU usage, including the current fan speed; and last but also kinda least, my network usage.

This is just done using the Illustro and Illustro Extended skins

It's useful for seeing system information on desktop, but things with more complicated functions take a lot of CPU usage. I have a button to toggle a lot of the things when I want them like it sound visualiser, as with everything on it takes about 15-20% of my CPU.
