Your Name: Zookie

Warning ID: 2654

Issued by: Please include the [L²]/[L²:M] tag. ACP [L²] Rocket

Reason: Chopping wood as doctor, not doing job

Why should it be removed?: Pretty simple in my own humble opinion. This warning was the result of a PR. I'm linking this PR as evidence for my own appeal case. So basically I was issued a permanent warning for not doing my job while chopping wood. First of all, like Rocket himself said in the PR there is no rule against chopping wood as a doctor and called for the reporter to provide with additional for the PR to be sufficient, that is at least how I understood his post. After some time the request got approved without any additional evidence of me not doing my job was submitted.

The thing is here, I feel like Rocket is contracting himself in his sayings and doings. The fact is I was doing my job (while chopping wood) I sold to other people also chopping and would've accepted any requests I got through PM. I was the only doctor online and as Rocket also said, it is then fine to self-supply. I really don't understand why the request got granted without any additional proof, and with what Rocket himself said in the thread.

I think i'm involved on this

Hello, I just made the PR because said this in this thread
Quote:Applies to all dealer jobs. You are expected to do your job as a dealer, make a shop maybe, do deliveries, advertise, not to sit there and cut wood. You didn't go to med school to cut wood for a living.
I though it was good I made that PR because then everyone will learn that you should not cut wood as doctor.

I didn't make the PR because "I want to argue with you" or similiar.

Regards,
The guy you hate IC'ly and OOC'ly
This is something that is enforced, especially with Doctors. The reason behind this is that you have an unlimited supply of Steroids that you can purchase for yourself, this in essence is self-suppyling.

Now, I haven't looked at the logs or anything but I'm just explaining the general case between Doctors and Woodcutting. Generally, we don't allow Doctors to chop wood themselves. This can be a form of FailRP as you are a trained, highly educated man that requires very precise delicate hand coordination. And yet you are in the woods with an axe putting callouses all over your hands, a direct contradiction to your profession.

Now what I have seen before is Doctors that setup a shop right outside the Woodcutting area. That would be allowed. But I have an issue with you cutting wood yourself. If you want to cut wood, change profession. That isn't so hard.

If you want to direct rules:

9.6 You must roleplay your job accurately (i.e. do not pretend that you’re a special ops soldier as a citizen or chef).
- You are a Doctor roleplaying as a Woodcutting.
9.7 Do not change jobs just to buy something from the market (this is powergaming).
- Now this I don't have a problem with as long as you are actively selling to others. And by active I mean having a shop, or doing adverts, or even RPing in the Hospital or something. Not just hanging out in the woods in a suit.

So, what I don't see in this report is what you have learned from this. All I see so far is how wrong the admin is for doing this. Why should you be taken off of the perma warning?

I fully understand what you are saying. I can see why I sort of made it look like I am just throwing around blame, which I am not. I was just trying to make my case here and I think that the points I made are valid. I have certainly learned from this warning, which I suppose is the point of it, and now fully avoid chopping wood as a doctor. I think that it is kind of unfair that I should receive a permanent warning for something that is not clearly specified in the rules or something that I did not know was a problem, especially with the things that was said in the original PR. Being sort of new it's kind of rough to have all the rules within rules down, a simple warning or message would've done the exact same thing. Now I am left with a permanent marker on my account which I think is a little unfair for this situation.
Approved. If you are found to do the same thing again you will be blacklisted.

Apologizes for approving it without explaining anything there was some admin talk about the thread in the background that wasn't mentioned in the post.
