Yes, I noticed about the resolution. If you get the same message though, do let me know.

Leaving this open for a while to see what happens.

If I remember correctly use -h ... and -w ... to set the height and width of gmod in the launch options.

There's also -window I believe.

Google Chrome eats RAM like theres no tomorrow. It loves to just rip the RAM sticks outta your PC and gobble em up. Try not to have it open while playing.

Yeah, but for 16GB? Really?

I've had this issue multiple times, gmod far from use as much ram as your computer has. You can dedicate more ram to gmod by adding this to your startup command thingy.
-heapsize <kilobytes>

I believe "-heapsize 4096000" would allow gmod to use up to 4gb of ram.
Never set this to more than half of your available ram.

This might have been removed from the game, but it's worth a shot I suppose.
