As far as I'm aware there never was any notification/sound. It only appears in the duplictor-tool.
But I might be completely wrong. I will check this! Thank you

Before the prop limit update when you tried to spawn something above your prop limit it there used to be pop up on the right and an annoying error sound. Now while spawning a prop or pasting down a dupe when on your limit it doesn't show anything and no way to know that props weren't pasted until seeing they are missing. Will try to record it tomorrow
