So any news on this? cause it takes me like 30 mins to join the server?

I have to Watch a Full 35minute Youtube video for it to be Completed.

A temporary fix is to disable downloads in the options > multiplayer menu

Doing that will mess up with VCmod.

You'll just get a bunch of errors. I also see errors around the stores on main street when I disable all but maps.

For me it was only VCmod. You might be missing content from what you are describing.
