You'll need to wait until I get home on the 29th before I can update you on the status of my sound.
This is still a problem for me, no matter what I replace the fire and fire_ignite sounds with, they always play regardless of what I replace the sounds with.
The sounds should had been overwritten then, my last suggestion would be to check if you got anything else (addon/folder) that may contain the same sound files. If not I believe we can't help you any further from here.
This was as far as we could assist you with your issue, if in the future you manage to fix the remain part of the issue please make sure to inform us of the solution.
